Out Charts
Here are three out charts used by passionate darters. The steel-tip out charts offer suggestions for the double-outs and the soft-tip chart offers suggestions for the single-outs. Keep in mind that there are several ways to take any particular number out. While no out is wrong, some outs are preferred as if you miss your target, you will still be left with a 2-dart out, or an out that requires the darter to shoot at the same area of the board.
The soft-tip single-out chart does list some outs as a double. Even though a double is not required in soft-tip to end a game, the double may be hit to end a game. For example, if a soft-tip darter has one dart left and an even score from 22 to 40, this may be accomplished by hitting a double-out.
The out charts may seem overwhelming at first, but knowing your outs is part of the strategy of the game. When you begin to understand the different outs and actually begin hitting them, you will become more confident in your game and are on your way to winning more matches.
