The Fourth Book
You are working on your 4th dart book. What is the title and what is the focus of your book?
It has been a long time since the publication of my last book "The John Lowe Story" in 1987. I have, for some time, been contemplating writing another. The market is void of a good dart related book that has any real authority. A nobody author jumped on the bandwagon and wrote a book called "Planet Darts" last year where the author followed Colin "Jaws" Lloyd around for one year. The author wrote the workings of a professional dart player. However, it is a vulgar and degrading book to the sport of darts and as only taken any shelf space because of the void. Good, well-written honest books on the sport are needed. They are, after all, the history past and the inspiration in the present, and future of the sport. Anyone who read the article "The Fleetwood's" in BEN (Bullseye News Magazine, published in the US) will understand the importance of documenting people and events that have occurred over the many years.
Title: Something like "The Story So Far, No-Bullshit"...
The Focus: Autobiography with an attitude to tell it like it is. An in-depth look at the progress of darts since 1993, the split between the BDO and the players, the full reading of the Tomlin Order and of course the many human elements of the players and the officials alike. It will probably not be published until 2004. There are just too many interesting things happening in darts today, not include them in this book.
