Perseverance

Whenever I have a huge monumental task in front of me, whenever I am afraid of failing, whenever I have lost that all important dart match - I remember those who have failed before me, those who used those failures to motivate them to future successes. It doesn't matter what you endeavor to do as long as you persevere - don't give up. Especially in darts, don't ever give up because I strongly believe that we all have moments of greatness within us. Oh, we might not always be on our game, but there are lots of games and matches to be played and each one is a new opportunity to shoot well and to win, as long as you persevere. Here is one of my favorites to read when I need a bit of motivation:
He failed in business in '31.
He was defeated for state legislator in '32.
He tried another business in '33. It failed.
He had a nervous breakdown in '36.
In '43 he ran for Congress and was defeated.
He tried again in '48 and was defeated again.
He tried running for the Senate in '55. He lost.
The next year he ran for Vice President of the US and lost.
In '59 he ran for the Senate again and was defeated.
In 1860, the man who signed his name Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16the President of the United States of America.
So when all seems hopeless and lost and your dart game seems to be going nowhere, remember these words of wisdom and don't ever give up...

As always, shoot well and I'll see you at the line.
