My Random Scattered Thoughts for the Day

Would you believe that someone has actually interviewed little old me? Just a passionate darter gal from the good old USA - a midwestern girl at heart, wanting nothing more to write about darts! This caught me by surprise but I was game and gave it the old college try. I found out that I was quite critical of myself and after about a hundred changes at my request...here it is: My Dart Interview - Thanks to Jeroen van den Helder from The Netherlands. Thank you Jeroen, I think!

I have decided that this interview stuff is tough and again, I am quite critical of myself so I have decided that this will be my last interview - that is until I am a bona fide book author with an actual ISBN number. Then! And only then will I give my next interview! There was so much to say and I'm not sure that I said what I wanted to say, as succinctly as I wanted to say it so there it is, the good, bad and ugly and my only exclusive interview until I am an actual published author!

I have a newfound respect for those whom I interview and a newfound respect for those who decline to be interviewed. It's a tough gig!

On another subject...I have found a new dart book in German titled "Darts: Konzentration + Prazision im Pfeilwurfspiel" by Marcus Rosenstein! This is one more book that I MUST add to my collection whether I can speak German or not. I don't. But I can look at the pictures, ha.

It is my personal quest to own every single dart book that exists - in a recent article by Dartoid in Bull's Eye News Magazine, he stated that there must be some 70 dart books that exist today. For the record, he is wrong! Personally, I own about 50 and the sky is the limit. eBay is a great place to find these gems - recently I ordered "3 Old Dart Books" - what are these books? Who knows? But I will have them in my hot little hands shortly and I continue to update the book section of my website. Yes indeed, there are many more than 70 dart books out there and I plan to own every single one of them! Why? Who knows? Why ask why? I have stopped trying to figure out this passion for all things darts and I am just going with the flow. If you have any dart books to offer me, send me, sell me or trade me, please contact me at: ton80darts@comcast.net!

Another crazy quest of mine is to personally own the discontinued Harrow's Quadro 240 Dartboard. Why? Why ask why? This beautiful board has a double ring, a triple ring and a quad ring. Now there's something to screw up your math! Three perfect darts in the quad ring are worth a whopping 240 points! Are any games played on these boards? Who knows! All I do know is that this is something that I must own for myself! Does anyone out there have a Quadro board that they are willing to part with? Let me know. Really.

It has been said that I am a crazy, kooky, kind of gal-darter but who cares? And who listens to these folks? Not me! Trust me, there are worse habits to have then to be in love with darts and all things dart related. No drugs for me, no vices, just darts, darts and more darts. Who can knock that?

Next subject: Tonight is the last night of Thursday night mixed-league. I'm looking forward to tonight - another chance at a Ton80 and we're playing the number one team - that means that if we smoke them we just might take first place. Cool. What could be better?

On a sad note, the Captain Sandy of this other team out of Rocky Vanders lost her 16 year old son due to a car accident. How sad! Nobody should ever have to bury a child. My heart goes out to Sandy and her family and I pray for them and that she somehow finds peace in all of this. God bless.
