I captain on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.

The biggest part of being a captain to me is be fair to your teammates and fair to the game. By being fair, I don’t mean playing each player evenly. I mean, try putting them in the best situations for them. Don’t base success, with wins and loses. Be fair to the game. Play the game. I see a lot of captains looking for a reason to call for a forfeit. I don’t understand it. The reason we come out, is to play. I know there are a lot of circumstances that come in to play.

On one of my mixed league teams, I had a guy and girl that couldn’t get a long for anything. They both had told me, separately that they didn’t want to play the same games with each other. I was able to manage it for a few weeks, but it didn’t last. These are two of the nicest people I know, but for what ever reason, they couldn’t co-exist. They finally got over it.
